Alumni Jacob Sweet, Pharm.D. (‘22) and Daniel Jones, Pharm.D. (‘14), are committed to providing oases in pharmacy deserts. The pair are owners of Elite Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy business that recently opened its fifth location. The opening of the new Ravenna store on N. Chestnut St. was the subject of a recent feature story on News 5 Cleveland.
Elite Pharmacy now operates in Canfield, Garrettsville, New Philadelphia, East Palestine and Ravenna.
“We go into these places, they may have lost their pharmacy, or there’s never been a pharmacy,” noted Dr. Sweet in the interview, explaining how they choose store locations.
