How is our nation doing with the COVID-19 pandemic? In her role as guest moderator for NEOMED’s VITALS series Thursday, Feb. 3, Betty Lin-Fisher, a medical reporter for the Akron (Ohio) Beacon Journal and the USA Network, recently asked Ezekiel Emanuel, M.D., Ph.D., about that topic, including questions from newspaper readers about recent COVID-19 recommendations. She shared her reflections on the program and Dr. Emanuel’s responses in a recent column.

Dr. Emanuel, the vice provost for global initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Biden-Harris transition COVID-19 task force, was the featured speaker Feb. 3 on VITALS. The NEOMED event was presented as a webinar that is now available for viewing.
