Chou teamed up with Scott Weiner, M.D., professor of orthopaedic surgery and chair of orthopaedics for Summa Health System, and Brandon Jonard, M.D. (’14), clinical instructor of orthopaedic surgery, to study several rare tumor occurrences seen at Summa Health  – Akron City Hospital. .

“Many of the leading research physicians in the field were at the conference, most being orthopedic oncologic surgeons – surgeons who deal specifically with bone and muscle tumors,” says Chou. “The conference was great; I had a really good experience.”
