Earlier Arrival for COVID-19?

A study published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases suggests that COVID-19 may have started circulating in the United States months earlier than originally thought.

The Yahoo Life story reports that according to the journal article, coronavirus antibodies were found in 106 of the 7,389 blood donations, collected between Dec. 13 and Jan. 17.”

“’It seems reasonable to conclude” that the virus was present in the U.S. before the end of January,’” Richard Watkins, M.D., an infectious disease physician in Akron, Ohio and professor of internal medicine, told Yahoo Life.
