Developing People: Faculty Development rebrands as the Office of Enrichment and Engagement

After input from faculty focus groups and in concert with University Faculty Council, NEOMED’s faculty development office gets a new name and a fresh focus as the Office of Enrichment and Engagement. Under the guidance of Richard Kasmer, Pharm. D., J.D., vice president of academic affairs, and Janel Koellner, M.A. Ed., assistant director of faculty support, this office is dedicated to helping NEOMED faculty achieve excellence.

Recently added opportunities include a monthly research newsletter, funding for review of grant proposals, leadership training for educational pedagogy and advocacy, a reignited Master Teacher Guild, diversity training, and much more.

In addition to the services provided by the office, both clinical and Rootstown based faculty have access to Academic Impressions. Offering leadership, personal development and skills-based training, this tool can be used in a variety of ways to enhance the educational, research and professional experience at NEOMED.
