Creating a Professional Presence on Social Media

Some mobile phone owners receive a weekly screen time report delivered right to their fingertips every Sunday. Jaclyn Boyle, Pharm.D., (’12), and Jesseca Keller Pharm.D., realized that a substantial amount of many users’ time is spent on social media, and part of it could be devoted to building a professional presence there.

In “How Faculty Should Help Students Build and Use Their Online Presence,” Dr. Boyle, Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy assistant dean of student success and an assistant professor of pharmacy practice, joins Dr. Keller, a clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice, to detail how social media is integrated in pharmacy professionals’ lives; the benefits to using social media; and more.
