Thomas File Jr. M.D., a clinical faculty member who is the president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, spoke recently to the Akron Beacon Journal to answer questions about coronaviruses and COVID-19, a respiratory illness in a growing number of countries.

Dr. File, a professor of internal medicine, master teacher and chair of the Infectious Disease Section at NEOMED, is the chair of the infectious disease division for Summa Health.
