College of Medicine Dean Named 2018 Athena Award Winner

Congratulations to Elisabeth Young, M.D. (’85), vice president for health affairs and dean of the College of Medicine, on being selected as the 2018 Athena Award recipient.

Along with members of Northeast Ohio Medical University’s leadership team and College of Medicine, Dr. Young’s husband, children and parents were in attendance to celebrate her achievement, May 17 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

Dr. Young was among 21 women nominated based on their professional accomplishments, the time and energy they have devoted to their community, and their efforts to open doors for others. The Athena Leadership Award Program is an international initiative presented annually by local chambers of commerce, women’s organizations and universities.
