CDC Finds COVID-19 Spread in Households Is Common

When one person in a household contracts COVID-19, chances are good that others will also become sick, according to new research by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported by Verywell.

Richard Watkins, an infectious disease physician in Akron, Ohio, and a professor of internal medicine, told Verywell, “It’s easily transmissible, especially when people are in prolonged close contact. This is why it’s important for family members to not get infected in the first place.”
