Grounds Crew, Campus Operations, was recognized for keeping the campus safe during wintery weather. “The Campus Ops grounds crew (Jerry Bergstrom, Matt Coury, Nick Arbogast, Sara Biltz, Andrea Smith and Andrew White) has been diligently working this winter to keep the massive amounts of snow and ice that we’ve received under control. At times, they have worked around the clock (including weekends and holidays) to make sure that the campus roads and walkways are passable and safe. Members of the maintenance team and admins of the department even stepped into help when winter storm Fern came through and dropped what seemed like an endless amount of snow. THANK YOU TO ALL!”
Kelly Knobel, Accounting, was recognized for her communication skills. “Kelly does an amazing job at her role in Accounts Payable. As someone who processes a lot of invoices, Kelly’s quick responses to emails and her open communication are certainly appreciated. She goes above and beyond to acknowledge that she has received my request and to inform me when the invoice will be paid. She has truly been a joy to work with and has proven to be an asset to the campus community.”
Belinda Sasala and Cristina Basaran, College of Medicine, were recognized for being great colleagues. “Belinda and Cristina are always SO WONDERFUL to work with and help us out tremendously with ordering all exams including scheduled exams, makeup, and remediation/retake and we are so thankful for all of their hard work!”
Lindsay Anderson, Advancement / NEOMED Foundation, was recognized for her professionalism and demeanor. “Lindsay Anderson is an outstanding professional whose impact on our Advancement team and the broader campus community is truly exceptional. She possesses an extraordinary breadth of knowledge and an ability to manage multiple priorities seamlessly—never missing a detail and never dropping a ball. In her role supporting advancement operations and acting as the liaison for the NEOMED Foundation, Lindsay approaches every responsibility with professionalism, positivity and a genuine smile. She understands every aspect of our work and, as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt-certified professional, she consistently identifies opportunities to improve processes, strengthen efficiency, and enhance our effectiveness. What makes Lindsay remarkable is her versatility. In the span of a single day—or even a single hour—she can warmly welcome and orient a new employee, patiently guide them through onboarding, speak confidently with a multimillion-dollar donor about transferring appreciated stocks to the Foundation, prepare a detailed annual budget, and lead a Foundation board committee meeting. She does all of this with grace, composure and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Lindsay is deeply respected and appreciated by everyone on our team and admired across campus. If you already know Lindsay, you understand exactly why she deserves this recognition. And if you have not yet had the pleasure of working with her, you will quickly discover that she is not only highly capable, but also someone who truly brightens the day of everyone around her. For all these reasons and more, we are proud to nominate Lindsay Anderson for this award.”
14-Member NEOMED IPEDS-ACTS Reporting Team, Multiple departments: Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Bursar/Accounting, Information Technology and Institutional Research, was recognized for their efforts in navigating new federal reporting requirements. “I would like to give a huge shout-out to this year’s IPEDS Admissions and Consumer Transparency Supplement (ACTS) reporting team for their hard work and incredible efforts in helping NEOMED successfully navigate and complete this new (and quite involved!) federal reporting requirement! This new ACTS reporting requirement was an enormous lift and involved historically reporting on 7 years’ worth of student-level data (37,000+ rows), key contributions from the 14 individuals listed below, timely assistance from six offices (i.e., Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Bursar/Accounting, IT and Institutional Research) as well as a tremendous amount of cross-departmental collaboration, time-sensitive troubleshooting, concentration and documentation. As a result of this team’s combined efforts, we were not only able to successfully comply with this new federal reporting mandate slightly ahead of schedule, but we also avoided up to $500,000 in fines ($70,000+ per Academic Year) for failure to get our seven years’ worth of data submitted and locked on time. Kudos to this wonderful group of colleagues for “ACT-ing” when it was needed most!

Matthew Smith, Ph.D., College of Graduate Studies, was recognized for his support and teamwork. “Dr. Smith is always so great to work with! His care for NEOMED and his students is always so evident, and regardless of what issue is brought to him (or how related to his program it is), he’s always more than willing to help a coworker parse through a complicated problem. We’re very lucky to have him supporting our students and college!”
Kim Stormer and Jenna Morgan, Human Resources, were recognized for their initiative. “I would like to recognize Kim Stomer and Jenna Morgan for consistently taking initiative and demonstrating what true teamwork looks like in our office. They regularly step in to help without being asked, offering support wherever it is needed and contributing to a positive, collaborative environment. Their willingness to go above and beyond does not go unnoticed, and they truly set an example for others.”
Crescenzo Scheetz, Biomedical Sciences, was recognized for his professionalism. “Crescenzo managed an extremely challenging situation with grace, poise, professionalism and integrity. The Translational Autism Laboratory is proud of him!”
