BeST Center Helps Revamp Mahoning Count FIRST Program

Early and rapid treatment can make a world of a difference for individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time. Alta Behavioral Healthcare in Mahoning County, recently revamped its FIRST program, a treatment program that deals with first-episode psychosis, with the help of several Northeast Ohio partners including NEOMED’s Best Practices in Schizophrenia Treatment (BeST) Center. FIRST treatment services include: psychiatric care, individual counseling, family education and support, supported employment/education and case management.
