Bridge Funding
For investigators who experience a gap in extramural support for their research, a bridge funding mechanisms exists to provide some funds to enable success in future applications for extramural support. Requirements include a history of previous extramural support, well-received grant applications, and support of the faculty member’s Chair. Faculty should discuss criteria and processes for applying with their Chair.
Internal Funding Support
Funding support for faculty is a shared process between the Research Office, the Department, the College and the University with the goal to provide support of research activities during time periods when there is a gap in extramural funding or if there is an opportunity to generate data to support an application tracking toward funding.
