Center Mission

Eastern Ohio Area Health Education Center (EOAHEC) focuses on providing education, experiences, and opportunities to expose students to health care careers with a primary focus on under-served rural and urban communities in Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties in Ohio.

In partnership with NEOMED and regional universities and colleges, Eastern Ohio AHEC increases the knowledge and experience of students enrolled in health care careers by connecting them with experiential opportunities to gain valuable skills and knowledge in clinical and community settings.

EOAHEC serves as a gateway to the community for students in healthcare professions by supporting the training of medical students nursing, pharmacy, public health, physical therapy, human ecology and social work students to serve underserved populations.
