Pharmacy Technician Shortage Addressed

Shifts in customer habits and in the U.S. job market point to growing job opportunities for pharmacy technicians, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and an article in the Akron Beacon Journal.
Fady Abdlrasul, Pharm.D., (’14), an assistant professor of pharmacy practice, spoke recently with the newspaper about how the roles of pharmacists and pharmacy techs are changing – and how NEOMED and Summa Health are involved in a new pharmaceutical sciences program at Copley (Ohio) High School.
