Rupesh Raina Receives Healthcare Leadership Award

Rupesh Raina, M.D., has been awarded the 2020 National Kidney Foundation Healthcare Leadership Award. It was presented Dec. 5 at a Dining with the Stars event to support the National Kidney Foundation. 

The Healthcare Leadership Award is given to honor health care professionals in the region “who strive to improve, not only the everyday lives of their patients and colleagues, but their community as well.” 

An adult-pediatric kidney disease/hypertension nephrologist at Akron Children’s Hospital and Summa Health, Dr. Raina is an associate professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University. 

He serves as a Fellow of the National Kidney Foundation and the American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Raina also serves on the National Kidney Foundation Advisory Board Northern Ohio Region.
