Nine students inducted into Virtuous Healer Honor Society

Nine third-year students in the Northeast Ohio Medical University’s College of Medicine were inducted into the Virtuous Healer Honor Society on March 6:

  • Shabnam Mansur
  • Maya Schnall
  • Roshni Wani

Keynote speaker and VHHS faculty inductee Timothy Barreiro, D.O., delivered the keynote address. He also was awarded the 2023 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Faculty Award during the event.

The purpose of the society is to recognize NEOMED students, residents and faculty who exemplify the attributes of the virtuous healer, including altruism, compassion, curiosity, generosity, humility, justice and moral imagination.
