The Spirit of Giving

NEOMED recently sponsored a table at Asia Inc.’s annual fundraiser, which was attended by several medicine and pharmacy students. Like NEOMED, the vision of Asia Inc. is to ensure the medically underserved have equal access to information and services, while eliminating disparities to quality health care. During the event, third-year medicine student Molly Booy won $600 in a raffle. Booy then stunned the audience members by immediately donating her winnings back to Asia Inc.

While receiving unexpected cash is more than welcomed by any student, Booy, along with many of her classmates who selflessly lend their time and talents to Asia Inc., displayed the true NEOMED spirit of giving back to the community.
