Dr. Doug Smith presents on research and trends over the past several years on opiate use in Ohio and getting people the proper care they need, as well as an insight into medical marijuana.
In this lecture, Dr. Dugan discusses the history of tobacco use and reviews the medications that may be effective for smoking cessation. By the end of this lecture, you will be able to: 1) identify pharmacologic targets for treatment of tobacco use disorder, 2) list the adverse effects seen with pharmacologic treatment of tobacco use disorder, and 3) compare the efficacy data for agents used for treatment of tobacco use disorder.
