Study Looks at Exercise’s Role Against COVID-19

Shape magazine reports on a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, concluding, “Consistently meeting physical activity guidelines (more on these below) is strongly associated with a reduced risk of developing severe COVID-19 in adults who become infected with the virus.”

Discussing the study, Shape spoke with experts including Richard Watkins, M.D.,an infectious disease specialist and a professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
