Ritzman Pharmacy at NEOMED Becomes Official
“Pharmacy of the Future” to promote holistic approach to wellness.
Northeast Ohio Medical University affiliate Pharmacy Innovations, LLC, formalized their partnership with Ritzman Pharmacy during a signing ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 3. The joint venture, called Ritzman Pharmacy at NEOMED, will give patients access to a medical fitness facility, primary care services, physical therapy, medication management and a team-based philosophy that focuses on the individual’s complete well-being, rather than simply the treatment of a single ailment.
The partnership was spurred by Ritzman Pharmacy, which shared the goal of promoting whole-person health and desired a practice site that is more community-oriented and pharmacist-accessible than traditional pharmacies.
“In Ritzman Pharmacy, we found a partner who could help redefine the patient experience, and the quality of care that people receive during each visit to the pharmacy,” said Charles Taylor, Pharm.D, dean of the College of Pharmacy at NEOMED and president of Pharmacy Innovations. “As the College of Pharmacy celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are extremely proud to have such a tremendous new endeavor that will support the community, but also serve as an innovative educational tool that will launch a new generation of pharmacists.”
