Combating the Delta Variant

The Delta variant of the COVID virus can spread quickly, and that gives the public another reason to get vaccinated, says Thomas File, M.D., professor of internal medicine and the chair of the Division of Infectious Disease at Summa Health, in a Cleveland.com article.

Dr. File told the reporter, “We need to get more people vaccinated. My concern is that we’re not doing it fast enough right now.” He added, “I don’t think we’ve actually reached the point where we can say we’re protected against transmitting this virus, particularly among those who have not been vaccinated.”
