About accessible color combinations

Web content must meet the accessibility requirements in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, the current W3C standard for web accessibility. These standards help make text and other content easier to see and read for people with low vision, color vision deficiencies and other visual impairments.

For Level AA conformance, text must have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background. Large text must have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1. These requirements are defined in WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.3: Contrast (Minimum).
