NEOMED Grand Casino

We marked our 50th anniversary with a Monte Carlo–themed Grand Casino Night, raising more than $350,000 for student scholarships through the Blue Fund.

On Nov. 1, 2024, alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends gathered for the NEOMED Grand Casino, honoring the 50th anniversary of the University’s founding. Guests were greeted on the red carpet by President John Langell, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., as they enter the NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center, transformed into a Monte Carlo-style casino.

  • More than $350,000 raised for the Blue Fund.
  • Nancy Flickinger, M.D. (’81), was the lucky winner of a five-day stay in Maui, generously donated by Dr. John Langell and Dr. Sara Whittingham.
  • $100,000 gift announced by emeritus board member Paul Bishop and his wife Jane Bishop.
  • 500+ guests enjoyed table games, roulette, craps and black jack.
