A Letter from the President

Leading Innovation
At NEOMED, we have leaned heavily into innovation and continue to invest our financial and intellectual resources in that area. Innovation enables us to create transformational leaders and improve health more effectively and efficiently.
A few years ago, NEOMED joined the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative of Northern Ohio to help the region expand applied research to improve care. Our own Clinical and Translational Research Institute launched in 2024 under the direction of Dr. Phil Turk. The CTRI provides a mechanism for NEOMED to be at the forefront of using data science and AI to transform healthcare.
Our leadership in data science and innovation also opens up more opportunities for collaboration with partners throughout the state who can benefit from our expertise.
As we delve into and help develop this emerging field, we are committed to graduating students who possess the necessarily tools to succeed in the modern health professions, while at the same time ensuring that the healthcare systems they are entering upon graduation have the capacity to make best use of their skills.
Sincerely,
John T. Langell, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.B.A.
President, Northeast Ohio Medical University
