Biography
Dr. Veysel Tahan, M.D., FACG, AGAF, FACP, FASGE, FESBGH, is a Professor of Internal Medicine, and is ABIM Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
European Board of Gastroenterology certified and also IM and GI Board Certified in Türkiye. Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine graduate in Türkiye. Completed IM residency at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and GI fellowship at Marmara University, hepatocyte transplantation program at the University of Pittsburgh, a second GI fellowship program at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Currently a Full Professor and Faculty of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, at NEOMED and Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC).
Has >200 international publications and abstracts (>230) with his colleagues and/or mentees and serves on the editorial boards of 15 Gastroenterology/Hepatology Journals. Actively involved in mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students in both clinical and research environments.
