Academic Title
- Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Bio
Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Lead Pharmacist in the specialty of Geriatrics at Summa Health. I completed a PGY-2 residency in Internal Medicine and Academia through the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center and NEOMED, and I finished a PGY-1 residency at the UH Geauga Medical Center as well. As a clinical pharmacist, I rotate through working in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings to provide and enact medication-related assessments and plans for older adults as a member of multiple interdisciplinary teams. I strive to provide the best patient care possible and believe that each pharmacist can make an incredible impact so long as they are defining and working towards their professional goals. I am very passionate about working with students to identify and help facilitate progress towards their goals, and I love working to distill pharmacotherapy-related principles that help to lead towards understanding.
Area of Expertise/Research Interests
I practice as a geriatrics pharmacist and completed my second year of residency specializing in internal medicine and academia. I am passionate about research pertaining to these topics, especially the development of data pertaining to internal medicine best practices within the older adult population, as well as studying novel means of assessing and delivering didactic and co-curricular teaching. I am also very interested in maintaining a high degree of involvement in professional organizations such as the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
