Bio
I am the Student Education Pharmacist and a Drug Information Pharmacist for Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. I received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toledo, completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Beaumont Hospitals in Troy, Michigan, and then completed a PGY2 Drug Information Residency at Cleveland Clinic and Lexi-comp. I have practiced as an Internal Medicine specialist before assuming my current role. I have completed research and presentations on topics relating to pharmacy students and teaching and learning. I am a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, and I have recently completed my MBA in Healthcare Management. My position at NEOMED is Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice in a shared faculty role where I teach in Evidence-Based Medicine, Personal Finance for the Student Pharmacist, and Endocrinology and Immunology/Oncology Pharmacotherapy.
Area of Expertise/Research Interests
I am most interested in topics relating to pharmacy students and the teaching/learning aspect of a Pharm.D. curriculum. This expertise/interest lies primarily with the implementation of experiential education. I am also interested in the role of technology in the management of pharmacy education and pharmacy operations. My other areas of expertise include evidence based medicine, literature analysis, and medical/professional writing skills.
