Alumni Awards

The Alumni Association has established four awards to recognize alumni and friends for their service and volunteer work with the University, the health professions and the local community.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is given intermittently to individuals who, over the course of their lifetime, have provided exemplary service to their profession, NEOMED and/or the NEOMED Alumni Association.

Nominate someone for a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service Award is given annually to an individual who, through their time and talents, has made a significant impact on the University. This impact could result from dedication to teaching, mentoring, volunteering or working for NEOMED.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor NEOMED bestows upon its graduates. The award recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has met and transcended his or her fundamental role as a health care provider to become a leader in the advancement of research, service or education. It is awarded to a NEOMED graduate who has demonstrated notable accomplishments in research or exhibited exemplary accomplishments in any of the following areas, including but not limited to: leadership, community service, teaching/education and volunteerism.

Alumni Association Appreciation Award

The Alumni Association Appreciation Award is given intermittently to individuals who have volunteered their time to make a significant impact on the NEOMED Alumni Association and the efforts of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Nominate someone for an Alumni Association Appreciation Award.

Emerging Leader Award

This award is presented by the Northeast Ohio Medical University Alumni Association to a recent graduate (within 15 years of graduation) of the Northeast Ohio Medical University with a significant record of accomplishment, clinical practice, patient advocacy, research, education and/or administrative leadership. Candidates also exhibit the core values of their alma mater: Leadership, Excellence, Advocacy, Diversity, Equity and Respect.
