Speaking of Sex, in the Fall 2021 Issue of Ignite

Dec. 1, 2021

How is it that the holiday visits we long for so often lead to awkward, even painful, conversations? Being with family can be fraught, especially when people are going through emotionally charged evolutions in how they view themselves.

Check out “Our Changing Language,” excerpted from the PFLAG National Glossary of Terms—a guide to help us all understand and navigate ways to talk about gender and sexuality, brought to us from the nation’s largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.

The guide is part of the article “Speaking of Sex,” highlighting the work of a gender-affirming clinic led by a NEOMED alumna– all in the Fall 2021 issue of Ignite, available online at no charge.
