The COVID-19 Risks Presented by Gyms

After contracting COVID-19 from a friend, trainer Jillian Michaels is asking her fellow fitness fanatics (and others) to consider the risks of contracting the virus when paying public gyms a visit.

“It is far safer to work out at home in order to social distance and avoid people infected with COVID-19 who might not have any symptoms,” notes Richard Watkins, M.D., a Northeast Ohio Medical University associate professor of internal medicine who specializes in infectious disease, in a Shape article.
