Will July 4 Holiday Spark COVID-19 Spike?

An increase in COVID-19 cases after Memorial Day led Yahoo Life to ask experts whether the same thing might happen after Independence Day. Infectious disease physician Richard Watkins, M.D., a professor of internal medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, said, “It is likely that the relaxing of social distancing that many people started to do around Memorial Day is leading to an increase in cases.”
