Coping With COVID During And After: The Pandemic of Loneliness

Join Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Project ECHO® team for its next online pop-up session — Coping With COVID During and After: The Pandemic of Loneliness — for medical professionals, Wednesday, May 13.

The session will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m.

“The Pandemic of Loneliness” will discuss the diagnosable topic of loneliness as we navigate COVID. Guest speaker David Sharp, Ph.D., and panelists will review the social origins of loneliness; the impact of isolation and loneliness on physical and mental health; and considerations for the health care provider post-pandemic.

Experts will include a professional clinical counselor, mental health pharmacist, professor of health sciences, psychiatrist, managing director of mental health and campus safety, and a nephrologist who doubles as NEOMED’s medical director of COVID-19.
