Black History Month: First Black President of AMA

To celebrate Black History Month in February, the Northeast Ohio Medical University chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) collaborated with NEOMED’s Black Students Association to highlight an inspiring person each day throughout the month. Photos and stories of these leaders and their achievements are being shown on monitors around campus.

Here’s one:

Lonnie Bristow, M.D., was the first black physician elected president of the American Medical Association.
