NEOMED Goes Red for Women

February is American Heart Month – and on Friday, Feb. 1, the Women in NEOMED organization showed its support for the American Heart Association’s National “Go Red for Women” Day.
According to the American Heart Association:
- Cardiovascular diseases cause one in three women’s deaths each year, killing approximately one woman every minute.
- 90% of women have one or more risk factors for heart disease or stroke.
- Fewer women than men survive their first heart attack.
