Students, Staff and Faculty Lend a Hand for MLK Day of Service

Northeast Ohio Medical University’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion encouraged the University community to participate once again in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, held this year on Monday, Jan. 22.

Despite tumultuous Ohio weather, 11 students, staff and faculty volunteered at Hattie Larlham, a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; and at Ronald McDonald House of Akron (volunteers pictured above).

From stocking pantries to creating Valentine’s Day cards, volunteers donated more than 50 hours of their time.
