Assistant Director, Learning Center
In this role, I oversee academic advising for pre-med, M1, and M2 students; guide USMLE Step 1 preparation based on CBSSA & CBSE performance; support academic success initiatives and resource development.
Biography
I serve as Assistant Director in the Learning Center at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), where I support academic advising and structured learning interventions for pre-medical, M1, and M2 students. My work focuses on early academic risk identification, individualized learning strategies, and data-informed guidance for USMLE Step 1 preparation.
I joined NEOMED in 2024 as a Site Coordinator and later transitioned into my current leadership role, contributing to the implementation of academic support frameworks that promote student retention, performance, and progression within the medical education pipeline.
I earned my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the Norman Bethune Health Science Center of Jilin University in China and completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Kent State University. My professional experience spans healthcare delivery, public health, and medical education in both India and the United States.

Research interests
My areas of expertise include medical education support, academic advising systems, and public health informed learning interventions. I work at the intersection of clinical education, data informed academic support and workforce development, with a focus on early risk identification and individualized learning strategies for medical trainees.
My interests include USMLE Step 1 preparation methodologies, performance analytics using CBSSA and CBSE data, learner support for neurodivergent and at-risk students, and the development of scalable academic success frameworks within medical education. I am also interested in chronic disease management, healthcare operations, and public health approaches that strengthen physician training pipelines and promote longterm workforce sustainability.
