NEOMED Board of Trustees welcomes Karen Soehnlen McQueen

Northeast Ohio Medical University announced the addition of Karen Soehnlen McQueen to its Board of Trustees. McQueen was appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine to a nine-year term that runs Dec. 22, 2023 through Sept. 21, 2031.

McQueen is a director of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. with a practice that currently focuses on mediation. Prior to engaging in mediation, she practiced litigation for more than 35 years, focusing on all aspects of employment-related litigation, as well as litigation relating to business, commercial, professional, nonprofit and director liability matters.

McQueen has been an advocate for employers in State and Federal Courts, as well as the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. She is a frequent presenter to business and community groups regarding various labor and employment issues including discrimination, unlawful harassment and family medical leave.

McQueen earned a B.S.B.A. degree in economics and management from Ohio Northern University and a J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law.
