NEOMED is a Collegiate Purple Star Award institution

Northeast Ohio Medical University has earned designation as a Collegiate Purple Star Award institution. Ohio Department of Education Chancellor Randy Gardner made the announcement on Nov. 8, 2023.

The Collegiate Purple Star designation was developed in March 2022 to recognize schools that worked to become military friendly.

“With the Purple Star and Collegiate Purple Star designations, Ohio leads the nation in showing support for our military-connected students and families from pre-K through postsecondary education,” Chancellor Gardner said in the announcement. “I’m proud of the work NEOMED has done to support its veterans and pleased to have NEOMED among this latest group of Collegiate Purple Star designees.”
