Improving Access to Pharmacy Services

Pharmacy deserts — areas without easy access to a pharmacy — impact both rural and urban areas.

“Patients may end up going without medications, a lot of which could be life-saving medications,” noted College of Pharmacy alumnus Dan Jones, Pharm.D. (’14), in a recent interview with Spectrum 1 News.

Dr. Jones owns Elite Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy in Canfield, Ohio, along with fellow NEOMED alumni Jacob Sweet, Pharm.D. (’22) and Louis Liming, Pharm.D. (’22).

The trio shared their insights on pharmacy deserts in the news story.
