No-Tears Cooking Advice from the Spring 2022 Ignite Recipe Author

If you want to avoid crying when chopping onions, don’t cut off the root end. Doing so makes the onion think it’s dying, says College of Medicine student Karen Pham. Leave it intact while you slice and dice away. Your tear ducts will thank you!
