Body Donation Program
They gave in death for those in life.
Thank you for considering being part of Northeast Ohio Medical University Body Donation Program. The knowledge that future physicians and other health care professionals receive from direct observation and dissection of the human body is indispensible to the diagnosis and treatment of disease. By making a body donation, you are helping to advance medical education and research and to improve patient care. Ultimately, we are all the final beneficiaries of your generous decision to donate your body.
We realize that you and your loved ones may have many questions as you consider this important decision. We have designed this website to help you answer some of the most frequently asked questions -- questions that range from our registration process, to knowing what happens at the time of your death, to how your body is used by our students, to our memorial service. Please browse this site for answers to these and other questions.
We would be pleased to discuss the program with you and your loved ones in more detail. Please contact the Body Donation Hotline, 24 hours a day/seven days a week, at 1.800.686.2511, ext. 6317.
