A Systems Approach to Care & Case Formulation

Danelle Hupp, Ph.D. discusses the importance of taking a (family) systems approach to schizophrenia care. Recommendations for facilitating engagement of family systems and working with family systems are reviewed. Considerations for  formulating/conceptualizing a case from a family systems perspective are discussed.

Educating, Enlisting, and Supporting the Family

Danelle Hupp, Ph.D.,, in partnership with a mother of a participant in a CSC for FEP program, discuss the importance of engaging family and natural supports in first episode psychosis care. The mother describers her personal journey and experiences as a family member and provides recommendations for FEP team members regarding what loved ones want and need.
