Lunar New Year Celebration

Join the Asian American Pacific Islander Medical Student Association as they celebrate the Lunar New Year with music, performances, exhibits and food catered by Golden Dragon Restaurant. M1 and P1 students who attend are eligible for one professional foundations II credit.

Ticket Prices

  • Students $8 and $10 at the door
  • Faculty & Staff $10 in advance and $12 at the door

 

Ticket sales begin February 5 in the NEW Center Atrium. Faculty and staff can purchase tickets from Andre Burton, J.D.

Religion in Medicine Panel

This panel of faith leaders will present the main tenets of their religions as they relate to the field of medicine and will take questions from the audience about what care looks like to people of different faiths. Topics of discussion may include:

  • End of life issues
  • Palliative care
  • Abortion
  • When or why a patient might consult her/his faith leader before making a medical decision

 

The panelists for the Q&A discussion are Rabbi Yossi Marozov from Friendship Circle of Cleveland, Reverend Dianne Tobey Covault from Simpson United Methodist Church and Christ United Methodist Church, and Father Michael Williamson from St. Matthew’s Parish.

Celebrating Native American Culture

Join the College of Pharmacy’s Kimberly Kennedy for an exciting evening of information, crafts and entertainment that gives an insight to America’s indigenous people. Traditional Native American refreshments will be provided and performances will start at 6 p.m.
