MEDCAMP participants

MEDCAMP Program Accepting Applications

Students from groups and areas that are underrepresented in health care professions are encouraged to apply for MEDCAMP, an annual three-day program taking place this year from July 9-11 on the NEOMED campus. Participants stay overnight at Kent State University for two nights as part of the program.

MEDCAMP provides hands-on experiences in biomedical science workshops involving research, clinical problem-solving and an introduction to the fields of clinical medicine and pharmacy.

To apply, students must be 18 years old, have graduated from high school and be enrolled in the first-second or third year of undergraduate education, have a GPA at a level of B or above, and reside or attend school in one of the following counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas or Wayne.

MEDCAMP tuition is $150. A limited number of need-based tuition waivers are available; details are available online.
