Bio
Fidelis O Mkparu, MD, FACC, is a Professor of Internal Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, and a senior attending cardiologist at Aultman Hospital, and Mercy Medical Center, Canton Ohio.
A graduate of the University of the State of New York, and Meharry Medical School/University of Tennessee Medical School Memphis, Mkparu completed internship/residency at Indiana University Medical Center. After NIH fellowship in cardiovascular diseases/research at the University of Connecticut Medical Center he completed advanced cardiovascular fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Nuclear Cardiology and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Spectroscopy. He also received Certification in Measurement, Design, & Analysis for Health Outcomes Research from Harvard School of Public Health.
Mkparu served as the President, Stark/Wayne Counties American Heart Association Board of Directors until 2017.
