Master Teacher Guild

The NEOMED Master Teacher Guild is dedicated to promoting a culture of teaching excellence and innovation through advancements in pedagogy, scholarship, and faculty development.

The goals of the Master Teacher Guild are to:

  • Promote teaching excellence and scholarship to improve learning outcomes;
  • Improve learning outcomes of health professions students and residents;
  • Recognize teaching excellence of NEOMED faculty; and
  • Develop transformational educational leaders through the advancement of pedagogical knowledge.

Call for Applicants

NEOMED faculty are encouraged to submit applications for membership to the Master Teacher Guild. The Guild is an active group of faculty from diverse disciplines that is dedicated to promoting a culture of academic excellence through the collective knowledge, skills, wisdom, interests and passion of its members.

Benefits of Guild membership include:

  • Support from a professional learning community;
  • Opportunities for collaboration with peers, experts, and mentors; and
  • Recognition of teaching excellence.

Application for membership is simple! Applicants are asked to complete a brief online application, request a letter or recommendation from a current Guild member, dept. chair or program director, and submit a current CV.

Current Master Teacher Guild members seeking advancement to Fellow or Master Teacher are encouraged to complete the online application for advancement. Additional materials will be requested to support the application for advancement.

The Guild is currently comprised of 90 faculty members from across the consortium. The members represent a variety of clinical specialties and teaching roles. All Guild members share a passion for teaching and learning and strive to share that passion with students and colleagues throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond.
