In partnership with Kent State University, the biomedical sciences graduate degree program is designed to promote research and education in the biomedical disciplines. Individuals in the program have the opportunity to carry out their research with scientists at NEOMED. Faculty research focuses on most aspects of biomedicine ranging from molecular, to cellular and organismal levels of biological organization.

Research Focus Areas
NEOMED’s seven research focus areas shape the environment for graduate training and research in the biomedical sciences. Graduate students work closely with faculty whose research is supported by grants from a range of public and private funding agencies.

SEQUOIA WELLNESS CENTER
You may sign up for a Sequoia Wellness Center gym membership courtesy of the BMS program at NEOMED. To do this, go to Sequoia Wellness Center’s front desk in the NEW Center and tell them you are a graduate student in the BMS program at NEOMED and show them a picture ID. Your complimentary membership will be active for three months, and you may renew as often as you like while you are a student here. Jackie Smallridge is the manager at Sequoia, in case you have questions.
