The NEW Center @ NEOMED
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Northeast Ohio Medical University, the NEOMED Foundation is hosting the NEOMED Grand Casino Night, benefiting student scholarships and the Blue Fund. All are welcome to join us for this celebration.
Five highlights from our 50 years
Women in Medicine was Launched
Women in Medicine was launched in 1978 to provide further mentorship for female students, faculty, and staff. The group continues today as Women in NEOMED to reflect the expanding number of health professions.
Classes Began
The first class at NEOMED began in the fall of 1977. The first class graduated in 1981 after earning their M.D.
Student-Run Free Clinic
The Student-Run Free Clinic was established in 2016 by medicine and pharmacy students to provide high-quality health care at no cost to underinsured and uninsured members of the community.
NEOMED Announced Plans for the Bitonte College of Dentistry
Plans for the new Bitonte College of Dentistry were announced following a $10 million donation from the Bitonte Family that will help address the current shortage of dentists.
BeST Center
The BeST Center was launched in 2009 and has provided information for thousands of individuals and families living with schizophrenia.
