The Heart and Blood Vessel Disease Research Focus Area is home to a range of labs, facilities, resources that enhance the learning, teaching and research experience for all our students and faculty. These include:
Equipped with an Olympus FV1000-multiphoton microscope and an Olympus FV1000 confocal microscope with an automated motorized stage. In addition, there are Olympus M021 inverted microscope and an Olympus IX-81 inverted fluorescence microscope equipped with DV2 dual view emission splitter, ORCA R2 CCD camera, and Metafluor/Metamorph software. There is also imaging equipment for western and DNA blots (FluorChem M MultiFluor, ProteinSimple).
