We spoke with Kyle Sobecki, PharmD, BCPS, who is a preceptor at Mercy Medical Center.

Why did you choose pharmacy?

I always wanted to go into the medical field and felt pharmacy was a way to help people a little differently than a physician.

what advice and tips do you have for new students or young professionals about starting careers?

Outwork everyone in the building, don’t complain, but if you do have concerns, propose a solution to the issue.

What is your philosophy on the practice of pharmacy?

The patient always comes first.  Sometimes, there are some decisions that need to be made from a business perspective, but the patient always comes first.
